Michoacan is one of Mexico's main producers of agricultural products. With a territory that takes in everything from tree-studded hills and forests to verdant, water-rich valleys and a lush and wild coastline along the Pacific, there is an endless variety of attractions for the visitor.  Morelia is the capital. The distinctive color of its beautiful constructions, made unmistakably of solid quarry, has earned it the nickname of "Ciudad Rosa" ( Pink City ).
