Brady Museum
In the shadow of the Cathedral of Cuernavaca the Casa de la Torre houses a unique collection of fine and decorative arts from all over the world. The visitor will enjoy a house-museum created in a portion of a massive adobe and stone XVI century Franciscan Monastery. The house has been preserved the house the way he left it at the time of his death in 1986. There are over 1,300 fine paintings, works on paper and folk art artifacts. Notably there is an extremely nice Frida Khalo and some Ash Can school drawings including Maurice Prendegast, Marden Hartley and Milton Avery in the collection. The house itself a 16th-century structure, is also interesting.
